Hi, my name is Ryan. I'm a maritime employment and injury lawyer, as well as a legal activist fighting to make the maritime industry a safe place for everyone to work. In 2020 I founded a non-profit organization called Maritime Legal Aid & Advocacy where we fight to expose the deep and endemic corruption in this industry, and to give voice to the powerful stories of survivors. I'm also the managing partner of New York law firm Maritime Legal Solutions, PLLC where I primarily represent mariners and maritime industry workers who have been harmed in the course of their employment. My most well known case is the Midshipman-X lawsuit that set in motion a permanent process of accelerating change in the U.S. Maritime industry. But I have represented many clients in other high profile cases, including maritime sexual harassment cases, the first maritime industry sex trafficking lawsuits, and the first sexual assault lawsuit against Military Sealift Command. Through my work I also help crime victims navigate the criminal justice system and the Coast Guard's Suspension & Revocation (S&R) process. In recent years I have been involved in precedent-setting criminal and S&R cases, helping my client's achieve justice against their assailants.
